Janhvi Kapoor has once again amazed everyone with her fashion at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. The young actress paid tribute to her late mother Sridevi by recreating one of her most iconic looks. Inspired by the famous song Kaate Nahi Kat Te from the movie Mr. India, Janhvi wore a modern version of the classic wet saree look.

She walked along the beach in a white fusion saree designed by the brand Di Petsa. This was not a regular saree it had a unique wet-look effect. The fabric was soft and flowy, perfectly hugging her figure. The saree looked almost like it was dripping with water, giving it a magical and dramatic feel. The dress included an off-shoulder blouse.

Janhvi was styled by her cousin Rhea Kapoor who added a beautiful touch with accessories. She wore a purple choker necklace with an emerald and diamond pendant along with matching earrings. The jewellery was from Chopard, a brand known for luxury and an official partner of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Di Petsa saree was also special because it was handmade and used recycled materials. The brand, based in Greece, is known for creating emotional and fluid fashion pieces. This particular saree cost around ₹4,10,500 and was made to order, combining South Asian tradition with modern style.

Earlier at Cannes, Janhvi also paid tribute to Sridevi with a rose-coloured draped lehenga-saree by designer Tarun Tahiliani.
