Daughter of the legendary Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, Janhvi made her acting debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Dhadak, directed by Shashank Khaitan under Dharma Productions. The film was a commercial success and established her as a leading lady. She went on to deliver a critically acclaimed performance as the real-life pilot in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020). Other notable works include the survival thriller Mili (2022), the romantic drama Bawaal (2023), and her Telugu debut in the blockbuster Devara: Part 1 (2024) opposite Jr NTR.

In 2025 she appeared in Homebound, Param Sundari, and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Her 2026 release Peddi opposite Ram Charan further expanded her pan-Indian presence. Upcoming projects include Lag Jaa Gale (2027) with Tiger Shroff and the Atlee-directed Raaka.
