She began her career in television, notably playing Shruthi in the popular Tamil soap opera Thendral on Sun TV. Her film debut came in 2013 with a supporting role in the Tamil romantic comedy Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru, which she reprised in its Telugu remake Something Something. That same year, she made her Kannada debut as Akshara in Dasavala, earning praise for portraying a mentally challenged girl opposite Prem.
Over the years, Iswarya has worked across Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. Notable films include the Kannada horror-comedy Namo Bhootatma (2014), Malayalam drama Monsoon Mangoes (2016), Tamil satire Thamizh Padam 2 (2018), Naan Sirithaal (2020), Vezham (2022), and the multi-language spy thriller Spy (2023), where she played NIA agent Vaishnavi.
