Iswarya Menon's family hails from Chendamangalam, Kerala. However, she was born and raised in Erode, Tamil Nadu. She did her higher secondary schooling at Vellalar Matriculation School in Erode. Later, she pursued Instrumentation Engineering from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.

Iswarya began her film journey in Tamil cinema with the comedy movie Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru. She made her Kannada debut with Dasavala, directed by M.S. Ramesh, opposite Jogi-fame actor Prem. Her performance as a mentally challenged girl in that film was praised by audiences and critics alike.

Later, she starred in Apple Penne, a Tamil film centered around a mother-daughter relationship, where veteran actress Roja played her mother. Her upcoming project is a Kannada horror-comedy titled Namo Boothatma.
