Genelia D’Souza Turns Heads with Her Traditional Ramp Appearance

Genelia D’Souza made a striking appearance in her latest Instagram post where she shared a moment from the ramp walk. She is dressed in a deep red lehenga with intricate detailing and silver jewelry. The post also tagged her husband, @riteishd, along with multiple hashtags celebrating her fans and film journey.

Actress Genelia D’Souza who is preparing for her comeback in Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par recently opened up about her experience in Bollywood after marriage. In a heartfelt interview, she shared, “When people found out I’m doing Sitaare Zameen Par, they said, ‘Oh my god! So lucky! You’re doing an Aamir Khan film!’ I told them, yes, it’s Aamir sir’s greatness that he saw potential in me.” Genelia mentioned that even though Aamir Khan offered her the part, she still had to go through an audition. She emphasized that talent should be the deciding factor, not marital status.

She also addressed the industry’s outdated thinking. “He -[Aamir] made me audition. But why can’t others do that too? Why not offer me roles based on talent, not marital status?” Genelia expressed her frustration about how married actresses are often overlooked. She added, “When younger actors are cast in mature roles, they often miss the nuances. Casting someone of the right age brings authenticity.” She believes that with time, filmmakers should also grow and become more inclusive and fair in their casting choices.

Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna and will release on June 20. The film features a diverse cast and music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
