Fatima Sana Shaikh has worked in many Hindi films. She started her acting career as a child artist. Her early roles included Bharti Ratan in Chachi 420 in 1997. She also acted in Bade Dilwala in 1999 and One 2 Ka 4 in 2001.
She took a break from acting to focus on her education. Later, she returned to the industry. She also appeared in television shows like Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo in 2009. She was seen in Best of Luck Nikki in 2011.
Her breakthrough came in 2016 with Dangal. In 2018, she played Zafira Baig in Thugs of Hindostan. She acted alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan.She continued to take on diverse roles. She acted in Ludo in 2020 and Ajeeb Daastaans in 2021. She appeared in Modern Love Mumbai in 2022. In 2023, she portrayed Indira Gandhi in Sam Bahadur.
She has received several awards. She was nominated for Best Actress (Popular) at the Screen Awards in 2017. She won Best Action Actress at the Jackie Chan Action Movie Awards. In 2020, she ranked 48th in The Times Most Desirable Women.
