Meanwhile we all love animals in some way. Many of us try to protect them. Celebrities also support this cause. Daksha Nagarkar is one of them. She teamed up with Mercy for Animals India Foundation to support a plant-based lifestyle. She played a key role in spreading this message. Known for her films like Zombie Reddy, Hora Hori, and Husharu, Daksha shared her vegan journey. In her own words, “I am vegan myself, and that’s where my journey began. I am now focused on raising awareness about factory farming and the cruelty animals endure in the process.”
She added, “The reason I became vegan was because I witnessed this cruelty firsthand, which made me deeply connected to the cause.” She believes in gentle awareness, not preaching. The campaign slogan, Powered by Veggies, pushes for small steps. Daksha encourages people to first go vegetarian. Then slowly move towards veganism. She says it helps both health and the environment.
