Padma Vibhushan Chiranjeevi hails Telangana Government, CM Revant Reddy's felicitation event

The Telangana Government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, organized a grand felicitation ceremony at the Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad on 4 February 2024 to honor the state's Padma awardees. The event was graced by a large gathering of people, including celebrities, fans, and government officials.

Among the distinguished awardees felicitated were Padma Vibhushan Chiranjeevi, Padma Vibhushan former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, and Padma Shri awardees Dasari Kondappa, Gaddam Sammaiah, Ananda Chary, Kurella Vitalacharya, and Kethavath Somlal.

Padma Vibhushan Chiranjeevi, the legendary actor and philanthropist, expressed his joy and gratitude during the felicitation ceremony. He shared his feelings about receiving the prestigious award and the significance of the recognition for his work.

"I am overwhelmed and extremely happy with the love and appreciation I have received from people from all walks of life," Chiranjeevi said. "When people started blessing me wholeheartedly, I felt that this was enough for this life. The good deeds of my mother and father have now borne fruits on me."

Chiranjeevi lauded the Telangana Government's initiative to proactively felicitate the Padma award winners. He expressed his appreciation for Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's leadership and commitment to honoring the state's achievers.

"I think this is the first time a government has taken the initiative to felicitate the award winners," Chiranjeevi said. "I thank the CM Revanth Reddy and other ministers for this wonderful initiative. This will encourage all the artists."

Chiranjeevi also took the opportunity to express his gratitude towards his fans and supporters for their unwavering love and admiration. He highlighted the social service activities undertaken by his fans, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I thank all my fans for taking my mission forward through my blood bank," Chiranjeevi said. "Even during the Corona time, the way my fans have taken up social service activities, such as financial assistance, blood banks, oxygen banks, and ambulance services, I am grateful to them."

Chiranjeevi also shared his admiration for Padma Vibhushan Venkaiah Naidu, praising his oratory skills and political acumen. He expressed his appreciation for Naidu's qualities, which he likened to those of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
