In a poignant moment for the Telugu film industry, the curtains have fallen on the illustrious career of senior actor Chandramohan. The beloved actor said goodbye to the world today, passing away suddenly due to a heart attack at the age of 82. His death news has shocked the industry and his many fans.

Chandramohan's actual name was Chandrasekhara Rao and he was born on May 23, 1943, in the quaint village of Pamidimukkala in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, Chandramohan's journey from the bylanes of his hometown to the silver screen is nothing short of cinematic itself.

His foray into films marked the beginning of an era where he effortlessly wore multiple hats—comedy, hero, and character artist—all with equal finesse. His knack for comedy set him apart, becoming a trademark that endeared him to fans and critics alike. His ability to infuse humor into various roles made him a versatile performer.

Chandramohan's filmography boasts a rich tapestry of memorable roles, earning him accolades such as the prestigious Filmfare Award South and two Nandi Awards. Notable among his performances are iconic films like "Rangula Ratnam" (1966), where he clinched the state Nandi Award for Best Actor, "Padaharella Vayasu" (1978), a Filmfare Best Actor Award winner, and "Siri Siri Muvva" (1978).

Beyond the glitz and glamour of cinema, Chandramohan found support in his personal life with his wife Jalandhara and two daughters. His passing creates a gap not just in the film world but also in the hearts of those who liked him on and off the screen.

His funeral, a sad goodbye to this movie icon, is scheduled for Monday in Hyderabad, marking the close of a significant chapter in Telugu cinema.
