In Pics: CM Babu Meets CM Thalapathy Vijay!

A very interesting coming together happened in South Indian politics today as Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu met Tamil Nadu, CM Thalapathy Vijay in Vijayawada.

The two chief ministers had multiple discussions on several crucial topics and here is what we have to say about the same.

Apparently, the two CMs had fruitful discussions on issues of mutual interest, particularly Chennai’s drinking water requirements through the Telugu Ganga Project and the ambitious Godavari–Cauvery river interlinking initiative.

Andhra Pradesh has already released 4.08 TMC of water to Chennai this year. Despite the own water constraints, AP will remain committed to supporting the neighbouring state.

Chandrababu said he firmly believes that water should be a source of cooperation, not conflict. With close coordination among states and the support of the Union Government, the Godavari–Cauvery river interlinking project can provide a lasting solution to water scarcity, transform agriculture and bring prosperity to lakhs of farmers across South India, he adds.

The pictures of the coming together of CM Chandrababu and Thalapathy Vijay are now going viral on social media.

This happens to be the first time that Vijay is entering Andhra Pradesh after becoming the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, and there is naturally a lot of anticipation associated with the same.
