Born on July 18, 1989, in Mumbai, Bhumi worked as a casting director at Yash Raj Films before making her acting debut with Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. Her performance won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
She has since delivered acclaimed roles in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Bala, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bhakshak, and Khel Khel Mein. Known for her versatile and socially relevant choices, she continues to push boundaries. In 2025-2026, she starred in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, The Royals, and led the intense crime thriller series Daldal on Amazon Prime Video.
