Bhumi Pednekar Shines in Recent Photos

Bhumi Pednekar and Ishaan Khatter’s new Netflix web series The Royals is getting mixed reactions. Many people online have criticized the show for its weak storyline and lack of chemistry between the lead actors. However, actress Lakshmi Manchu has come forward to support both Bhumi and Ishaan.

In a recent interview, Lakshmi said she enjoyed watching The Royals and didn’t understand the harsh comments. She mentioned that sometimes, viewers want something light and glamorous, not always serious stories. According to her, Bhumi looked stunning in the show and wore beautiful outfits. Ishaan, too, looked great on screen.

Lakshmi explained that Bhumi has already proven herself in many meaningful roles in the past. So, it's okay if she chooses to have fun in a stylish and entertaining project like The Royals. She also questioned why viewers always expect dark or emotional content from OTT platforms.

Referring to shows like Paatal Lok, Lakshmi said that while such shows are brilliant, they are often intense and depressing. She feels it’s nice to watch something fun and joyful for a change.
