Avneet Kaur first gained attention as a contestant on Dance India Dance Li’l Masters. She reached the semi-finals in the competition. Her acting debut was in the TV show Meri Maa. However, her role as young Rajkumari Damyanti in Savitri helped her gain recognition.

She made her Bollywood debut with Mardaani. This 2014 Hindi-language action thriller was directed by Pradeep Sarkar. It was produced by Aditya Chopra. The film starred Rani Mukerji in the lead role.

She will soon be seen in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. This is an upcoming American action spy film. Christopher McQuarrie directed it.
