Avneet Kaur began her career in 2010. She appeared on Zee TV's Dance India Dance Li'l Masters. She was eliminated before the semi-finals. She did not stop dancing. She later joined Dance Ke Superstars. In 2012, she started acting in the show Meri Maa on Life OK. She played the character Jhilmil.

Avneet also acted in Tedhe Hain Par Tere Mere Hain. She played the role of Rajkumari Damayanti in Savitri – Ek Prem Kahani. She appeared in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan as Pakhi. In 2014, she made her film debut in Mardaani. She also acted in Hamari Sister Didi.

In 2016, Avneet starred in the short film Dost. It was released on YouTube by Jigsaw Pictures. In 2017, she played Rajkumari Charumati in Chandra Nandini. From 2018 to 2020, she acted in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga. She left the show in mid-2020 due to health issues.

In 2023, she appeared in Chidiakhana with Ritvik Sahore. She also starred in Tiku Weds Sheru with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film was released on Amazon Prime Video. In 2024, she acted in Luv Ki Arrange Marriage with Sunny Singh. In December 2024, she starred in Party Till I Die on Amazon and MX Player.

Avneet's next film is Love in Vietnam. It was announced at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The film is an India-Vietnam collaboration. It stars Avneet Kaur, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Kha Ngan. The film is directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi and produced by Omung Kumar. It is based on the bestselling novel Madonna in a Fur Coat.
