Avantika started her career as a model by working for big brands like Puma and Femina. She later made her acting debut in the Telugu film Maaya directed by Neelakanta. Her performance was appreciated and she went on to act in films like Meeku Meere Maaku Meme where she starred opposite Tarun Shetty. This romantic drama gave her more recognition in the Telugu film industry.
She continued her journey with the film Meeku Maathrame Cheptha produced by Vijay Deverakonda where she acted alongside Tharun Bhascker and Vani Bhojan. Avantika also entered the Tamil film industry with projects like D Block which is a college-based thriller where she starred with Arulnithi. Another Tamil film she worked on is Enna Solla Pogirai alongside Ashwin Kumar, directed by debutant Hariharan.
