Born on October 30, 1998, to actor Chunky Panday, Ananya made her Bollywood debut in 2019 with the teen rom-com Student of the Year 2 opposite Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. The same year, she starred in Pati Patni Aur Woh, earning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

She followed with Khaali Peeli (2020), the critically noted Gehraiyaan (2022), Liger, Dream Girl 2, and the well-received Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023).
