Ananya Nagalla, born in Sathupalli, Khammam district, Telangana, to a Telugu farming family, is a rising Indian actress primarily working in Telugu cinema. She began with short films like Shaadi (The Wedding) (2017, as Shanti, earning a SIIMA Short Film Awards nomination) while working at Infosys, before pursuing acting full-time through workshops and auditions.
Her movie debut came with the critically acclaimed biographical drama Mallesham (2019), where she played Padma opposite Priyadarshi, earning praise and a SIIMA Best Female Debut nomination.
She gained wider recognition with supporting roles in Play Back (2021, as Sujatha), the blockbuster Vakeel Saab (2021, as Divya Nayak alongside Pawan Kalyan), Maestro (2021), Urvasivo Rakshasivo (2022, special appearance), mythological Shaakuntalam (2023, as Anasuya), and the acclaimed Pottel (2024, as Bujjamma, winning a Special Jury award at Gaddar Telangana Film Awards).
Recent films include Srikakulam Sherlockholmes (2024), Tantra (2024), and Darling (2024). Ongoing/upcoming projects feature her in SYG - Sambarala Yeti Gattu (Telugu, releasing March 14, 2026), and her highly anticipated Bollywood debut in an untitled Hindi film directed by Rakesh Jaggi (announced 2025), where she plays a Gujarat tribal girl.
