The actress, born in 1993, made her film debut in the Netflix thriller Guilty (2020) as Tanu Kumar, earning a Filmfare OTT Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She followed it with a role in the Netflix anthology series Ray (2021) and appeared in the stylish noir comedy Monica, O My Darling (2022) alongside Rajkummar Rao.

A brief cameo in Jigra (2024) came next, before she took on the lead role of Dr. Gargi in the medical drama series Gram Chikitsalay (2025). In 2026 she featured in the legal drama Ikka.

Akansha is currently preparing for her South Indian debut in the bilingual science-fiction film MaayaOne and continues to choose diverse roles across OTT and theatrical projects, steadily building her presence in Indian entertainment.
