Akansha Ranjan Kapoor Radiates Desi Diva Glam in Electric Blue

Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is a vision in electric blue, perched gracefully while fastening her golden heels, exuding old-world glamour with a modern edge. Meanwhile in an earlier interview, she revealed how life changed after her Bollywood debut in Netflix’s film Guilty. The movie, produced by Dharma Productions, released just days before the COVID-19 lockdown began in 2020. She shared that soon after her debut, work opportunities vanished due to the pandemic. “I ended up sitting at home for eight months. Everything went silent. It took me a year to recover from that,” she said. The actress also admitted that the experience taught her the importance of staying grounded and patient in a competitive industry.

Known for her sincerity, Akansha is now more careful about choosing roles that leave an impact. She believes in doing quality work rather than just appearing in the frame. Her recent project, Gram Chikitsalay, streaming on Prime Video, has brought her new recognition. She plays Dr. Gargi, a kind and innocent doctor working in a rural health centre.

Akansha comes from a creative background. She is the daughter of Shashi Ranjan and Anu Ranjan, founders of the Indian Television Academy. Her sister, Anushka Ranjan, is also an actress and is married to actor Aditya Seal. Despite her family’s strong entertainment connections, Akansha has built her own identity through hard work. She is also well-known for her close friendship with actress Alia Bhatt, whom she has known since school days at Jamnabai International School.

Apart from her Bollywood and OTT work, Akansha is now stepping into South cinema. She will soon make her Telugu film debut with MaayaOne, opposite Sundeep Kishan, with Neil Nitin Mukesh playing a key role. The movie, a sequel to Maayavan, is expected to release soon.
