Actress Aakanksha Singh known for her graceful roles in Malli Rava and Meet Cute, is making a comeback to Telugu cinema with her upcoming film Shashtipoorthi, which is set to release on May 30. After gaining wider recognition through Hindi projects like Runway 34 and the web series Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, Aakanksha is excited to return to the industry that welcomed her warmly in the past.

In Shashtipoorthi, directed by Pavan Prabha, she stars alongside Rupeysh and veterans Rajendra Prasad and Archana. The film is a family drama set in Rajahmundry and focuses on traditional values and close family bonds. Aakanksha plays a strong Telugu woman and says the role gave her space to truly perform, rather than just appear as a supporting character.

Originally from Jaipur, Aakanksha began her career in theatre and moved to television with Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha. Her journey into films started with a small role in Badrinath Ki Dulhania and took off with her Telugu debut in Malli Raava directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.
