Pohankar's journey to stardom began in the world of theatre, where she honed her skills and caught the eye of director Nishikant Kamat during a performance of the play "Time Boy." Impressed by her talent, Kamat cast her in the Marathi film "Lai Bhaari" opposite Riteish Deshmukh.
