Born on July 30, 1990, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Aakanksha Singh began as a theatre artiste and trained as a physiotherapist before entering showbiz. She made her television debut with the popular Colors TV series Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha (2012).

Her Bollywood film debut came with Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) in a supporting role. She made her Telugu debut with Malli Raava (2017), earning a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Female Debut – Telugu. She gained further acclaim with Devadas (2018) opposite Nagarjuna and Nani, the Kannada sports drama Pailwaan (2019), and the Hindi thriller Runway 34 (2022) alongside Ajay Devgn.

She has also appeared in web series like Khakee: The Bengal Chapter and other regional projects. As of 2026, she is returning to theatres with the Telugu family drama Shashtipoorthi (released May 2025), where she plays a key role. She continues to balance films, digital content, and theatre performances.
