Oscar Award-winning actor Robin Williams was found dead Monday morning He was 63.

His wife, Susan Schneider, released a statement through his publicist. "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken," she said.

At 11:55 a.m., police were called to Williams' home where he was pronounced dead at 12:02 p.m
A standup comedian, Williams initially gained fame for his role in the “Happy Days” spin-off “Mork & Mindy,” which aired in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Williams won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the 1997 film “Good Will Hunting.”US President Barack Obama extended his family’s condolences in a statement.

According to police, it was a suspected suicide and the Happy Days star he had been battling depression prior to his death. He had suffered manic depression throughout his life, owing to having bipolar disorder. He also had struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for years.
