Sachin Tendulkar and his dedication towards cricket known to many and there is no special explanation needed about that.Many times he have shown his all efforts to rescue the team from defeat and many times he succeeded in that.
But do you believe a fact that Tendulkar played a match by keeping tissue papers in his underwears.Yes..Quite embrassing to discuss but its true.Sachin himself revealed this in his autobiography 'Playing It My Way' which was released earlier this month.Sachin Tendulkar in his book has revealed that due to an upset stomach he had to once play with tissues inside his underwear!
The incident happened during 2003 ICC World Cup when India were taking on Sri Lanka."Here I am a bit embarrassed to reveal a very personal secret relating to the Sri Lanka match. On the eve of the match I had a bad stomach and was feeling dehydrated. I added a teaspoon of salt to the energy drinks, thinking it would help the recovery, and that caused a tummy upset. In fact, the situation was so bad that I had to bat with tissues inside my underwear. I even had to go back to the dressing room during one of the drinks breaks and was feeling extremely uncomfortable in the middle." Wrote sachin in his book
In that match Tendulkar went on to score a patient 97 off 120 balls to become highest scorer of the match and it helped India win the contest by a massive 183 runs.
