Even before 'Masss' went on floors, Director Venkat Prabhu narrated a two-hero subject to Suriya but the actor turned down doubting if people would accept him in a negative role. Suriya turned down the project and suggested Ajith, Mahesh Babu and Vijay makes a better choice.
Actually, Raviteja was supposed to play the role of other hero in this project. Unfortunately, It didn't materialize and then 'Mass' materialised.
Venkat Prabhu began his career with films starring debutants. These days, He is working with only stars as producers approach him with the proposals if he has subjects which suit Ajith, Vijay and Mahesh Babu. However, The Stylish Filmmaker rules out making debut in Tollywood as he feels his kind of films won't work in Telugu. He is waiting to see how the Telugu audience receive 'Masss' and wants to take a final call based on the result.
