Not Mahesh, I am playing the lead: Sudheer Babu

Sudheer Babu condemned the reports of Mahesh Babu reprising the role of Badminton champion Pullela Gopichand in a biopic. "Mahesh doing as Pullela Gopi isn't true & I am not producing it either," he clarifies.
The Young Hero, however, revealed he has got plans to produce the film. "I & Praveen Sattaru want to do a film on Gopi's life & I will be playing as Gopi. As of now not sure when this will go on floor," confirms Sudheer.
Not many knew, Sudheer Babu is a professional Badminton player and was also a probable for junior World Cup team. He partnered Pullela Gopichand and go trained under Badminton great Prakash Padukone (Deepika Padukone's father).
As per sources, Director Praveen Sattaru (LBW, Chandamama Kathalu fame) is currently doing research on Pullela Gopichand's life. This movie is being planned as a tri-lingual (Telugu, Hindi, English).
Pullela Gopichand is a Padma Bhushan awardee. He also received some of the prestigious awards like Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award and Rajiv Khel Ratna.
