Movie super hit; Collections utter flop

Venkatesh, Meena starrer Drishyam was released all over the world yesterday with positive buzz. But unfortunately the movie failed to cash the positive talk and very poor collections were observed on Day 1.

The film has collected a below average share of Rs.1.64 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In order to keep the BO on fire, a movie needs solid openings and Venky was unable to do it.These figures are certainly disappointing makers and they hope mouth talk will boost the collections in coming days.

‘Drishyam’ falls into a typical genre of family emotional drama mixed with mystery around a murder. Total fate of the film depends on how far masses would grab the movie in first week.

Positive word of mouth talk is surely to help ‘drishyam’ in long run but one need to observe on how good masses in B, C and other lower class centers would enjoy this kind of a Novel concept?
