Director of Magadheera Hindi remake confirmed!

The Hindi remake of 'Magadheera' is one of the most discussed topic in film circles ever since the Telugu period flick created history by becoming the biggest grosser.
Producer-turned-Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala who happens to be the husband of Divya Bharti and director of Salman Khan's 'Kick' has acquired the remake rights of 'Magadheera'. Prabhudeva was the first choice to wield the megaphone but for some reason he opted out of the project. With the confidence he gained from the success of 'Kick', Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to direct the film on his own.
Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are likely to play the lead roles. Though several stars including Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh have been approached, They didn't dare to be part of the remake even though they liked the flashback episode. Finally, The offer landed on the lap of Shahid Kapoor and he didn't let it go away.
