In the First Half of 2014, About 94 straight Telugu films and 49 dubbed flicks have hit the screens to entertain the audience.

Several stars including Balakrishna (Legend), Nagarjuna (Manam), Mahesh Babu (1 - Nenokkadine), Ram Charan (Yevadu), Allu Arjun (Race Gurram) and Naga Chaitanya (Manam, Autonagar Surya) tested their luck in the first 6 months this year. Interestingly, Except Superstar everyone of these stars have been able to deliver hits.

Other big stars like Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR, Prabhas and Raviteja hasn't had a release so far.

Allu Sirish's Kotha Janta, Sunil's Bheemavaram Bullodu, Nara Rohit's Prathinidhi and Srinivas Avasarala's Oohalu Gusa Gusa Laade have been declared as hits.

Films like Minugurulu, Chandamama Kathalu, Kamalatho Na Prayanam and Anamika received critical acclaim. While Krishna Vamsi's Paisa failed, Puri Jagannath has scored a decent success with 'Heart Attack'. Sampoornesh Babu's Hrudaya Kaleyam made its presence felt. Manchu's hasn't had a great year so far as Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda and Rowdy didn't fetch desired results.

Except Ajith's Aata Arambam, Vishal's Indurudu and Bhadram, None of the dubbed flicks have done a good business at Tollywood box office. Even the much-hyped Rajinikanth starrer Vikram Simha has bitten the dust.

Until 2013, Tollywood used to have only 10 hits out of 180-200-odd films. The situation is much better in 2014 as the hit count has already neared 10 within 6 months.
