A Sri Lankan organization has came with a proposal of banning the films all the Tamil heroes including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan who participated in the day-long fast organized by the Tamil Film Industry in protest against the Lankan Government's ill-treatment of Eelam Tamils. They have submitted a representation to the government in this regard.

It was the Tamilnadu students who came forward to protest the Sri Lankan government's atrocities against the Tamils. Later, Kollywood stars have joined the movement. A-list heroes including Rajini, Kamal, Ajith, Dhanush, Simbhu, Jayam Ravi, Vishal and few other participated in the protest.

This move hasn't gone down well with the Sri Lankan organizations. Ravana Balaya, a Buddhist organization in Lanka, has been demanding permanent ban on the films of these stars. It even held a protest before the Film Chamber building in Lanka and went on to raise slogans against Tamil heroes.
