Shefali Jariwala Channels Retro Glam in Sparkly Ensemble

Shefali Jariwala lit up Instagram with her latest glam moment, captioning it, “Bling it on baby! 🌐✨”. The photo shows Shefali striking adorable still under studio lights in a sparkling, body-hugging ensemble. Her look is styled by @stylebytanishaa, with makeup by @zaid-_ars92 and @chirlarajeswari. She tagged her shimmering attire by @namratajoshipura and accessories from @mozaati. The shot was captured by @iam-_kunalverma, with assistance from @-_niishahaha.

Shefali widely recognized for her role in the iconic 90s remix "Kaanta Laga", continues to embrace her glam persona even after all these years. The song, directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, gained instant fame for its edgy visuals. She played a fearless girl with a rebellious attitude, which became a talking point across the country. Though the video was a massive hit, it stirred controversy and was met with resistance from the censor board.

The directors shared that Salman Khan himself wasn’t pleased with the direction of the video. “He called us to his house and said—‘You shouldn’t put so much sexy stuff in your work, it’s not right. Keep your mind clean,’” Vinay recalled. Even though the criticism was tough, it didn’t stop Shefali or the makers from growing. The duo eventually worked with Salman in future projects like Lucky: No Time for Love, showing that mutual respect remained despite earlier differences.

Before making remixes, Radhika and Vinay were known for their emotional music videos with singers like Jagjit Singh and Falguni Pathak.
