While this picture spreads warmth and beauty, behind the scenes, Payal is facing a deeply emotional time. Her father has been diagnosed with esophageal carcinoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy in Hyderabad. In a heartfelt update, she revealed, “My father had just completed 1st session of chemotherapy. Doctors said that we can fight. My father is staying strong and stubborn, but the side effects of the treatment is something to deal with.” Despite the stress, she is holding on to hope and staying strong for her family.

What’s inspiring is that her father himself encouraged her to keep working. Payal shared, “We are hopeful for his recovery, and every blessing counts as we face this battle against cancer together.” She has returned to work even as her heart remains with her father. “I know there’s stress but seeing my dad from close quarters for the first time going through the treatment and how he is fighting back is taking a toll on me,” she said in a recent chat with Filmfare.
