Telangana gets a New School Curriculum

School Education Department and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Officials have given a presentation before the Chief Minister regarding the changes in the new syllabus. All the changes proposed were in the Telugu & Social Science text books. Telangana Statehood Movement, its Culture, History and Language have been given more importance in the new syllabus.
Actually, Expert Committee of SCERT submitted the draft of New Syllabus in January 2015 itself. Due to work load, Chief Minister didn't find the time to have a lot at it and he finally given his approval on Thursday as the printing of Test Books is getting delayed. He also advised the Committee to include chapters of great people of the Backward Classes in the curriculum so that Students will get inspired from their achievements.
