Yashika Anand began her acting career after becoming an Instagram model. At 14, she was cast in the film Inimey Ippadithan (2015) alongside Santhanam. However, her role was deleted as she couldn’t attend a song shoot. She then played a swimming instructor in Kavalai Vendam (2016) which is her first theatrical release.

Yashika's breakthrough came with the 2016 film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. The movie had a small budget but was successful. It earned recognition for the cast including Yashika.

Yashika also acted in the animated zombie film Zombie. In 2018, Chennai Times listed her as the “most desirable woman on television.” In 2021, she won the Best Actress Award at the Las Vegas Independent Film Festival for her role in Bestie.
