Vaani Kapoor Brings Coastal Charm to Chic Studio Shoot

In a fresh and vibrant new photoshoot against a bright lime-green backdrop, Vaani Kapoor exudes effortless charm and confidence. Born on August 23, 1988, in Delhi, Vaani Kapoor began her career as a model before making her Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films’ romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra. Her performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She followed it with the Tamil remake Aaha Kalyanam (2014) and the Aditya Chopra-directed Befikre (2016) opposite Ranveer Singh.

Vaani gained commercial success with a special appearance in the action blockbuster War (2019) and later appeared in Bell Bottom (2021), Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021) — where her role as a transgender woman was widely appreciated — and Shamshera (2022). In 2024, she featured in the comedy Khel Khel Mein alongside Akshay Kumar. In 2025, she played Malini Patnaik in the crime thriller Raid 2 opposite Ajay Devgn and made her OTT debut with the Netflix thriller series Mandala Murders, portraying a complex CIB officer.

As of 2026, several of her completed projects await release, including the comedy Abir Gulaal (also known as Aabeer Gulaal), the coming-of-age drama Badtameez Gill (in which she plays the lead), and the social comedy Sarvagunn Sampanna. With her evolving choices from glamorous roles to more layered characters, Vaani Kapoor continues to carve a distinct space in Bollywood.
