Born on December 21, 1989, in Mumbai, Tamannaah made her debut at 15 with the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra (2005), followed by Telugu entry Sree (2005) and Tamil Kedi (2006). She rose to fame in South cinema with hits like Happy Days (2007), Ayan (2009), 100% Love (2011), and the pan-Indian blockbuster Baahubali series (2015–2017) as Avantika. She balanced Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films, including Himmatwala (2013), Baaghi 2 (2018), F2: Fun and Frustration (2019), Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019), Jailer (2023), and Odela 2 (2025).

Currently, Tamannaah's ongoing projects pack a powerful 2026 slate: O' Romeo (February 13, opposite Shahid Kapoor), Vvan: Force of the Forest (May 15, with Sidharth Malhotra, streaming on Prime Video post-theatrical), Ragini 3 (horror with Junaid Khan), Ranger (December 4, with Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt), V.
