Taapsee began her career as a model before making her acting debut in the 2010 Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam. She entered Tamil cinema with Aadukalam (2011) and Hindi films with Chashme Baddoor (2013). Breakthrough roles followed in Baby (2015) and Pink (2016). She won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Thappad (2020) and delivered a major commercial success with Dunki (2023) opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

Recent projects include the courtroom drama Assi (2026) and the Netflix action-thriller Gandhari (September 2026), in which she plays a determined mother. Upcoming work features Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan?, continuing her streak of strong, content-driven roles.
