Sonam Graceful moments from London Fashion Week

Sonam Kapoor recently shared pictures from London Fashion Week on Instagram, where she was seen attending the show by Erdem. In her caption, she spoke about being part of a special evening that celebrated the rise of the Godawan bird, whose numbers have increased from 100 to 173, along with the rich roots of Rajasthan. She expressed her happiness in being connected to a story where “craft, culture and conservation come together.”

She also credited the team behind her look: makeup by @mariaasadimakeup, hair by @peteburkill, photography by @moeez, bag from @meera_mahadevia, and styling by @rheakapoor and @abhilashatd. Sonam further thanked her team @niyatiij, @forummmmm, and @kyra_jashnani for their support.

It’s been quite some time since Sonam A Kapoor appeared on the big screen. Now a hands-on mother to her son Vayu, she has taken a conscious step back from films. Her last major theatrical release was The Zoya Factor in 2019, and later she appeared in Blind in 2023, which premiered directly on OTT.

During a recent chat, when asked about her comeback plans, Sonam shared, “I became a mother and wanted to give it as much time as possible so that I could witness the process of seeing my son grow up. I wanted to enjoy the feeling of being a mother and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Now, I will be back to doing what I love doing acting.

I’m being drawn to disruptive subjects that allow me to shine. I have always tried to pick projects with the girl at the heart of the story and that vision hasn’t changed. I want to do projects where the role of the woman is layered and not unidimensional. I’m excited to come back in front of the camera and my first project post-pregnancy will roll out in the last quarter of 2025.”
