Born on August 16, 1989, in Nainital (Uttarakhand), Sonam started as a model and participated in Femina Miss India 2012. Her breakthrough hits include Punjab 1984, Sardaar Ji 2, Nikka Zaildar, Manje Bistre, Ardab Mutiyaran, and Honsla Rakh. She has won the PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best Actress.
Sonam expanded her horizons with Tamil (Kappal) and Telugu (Aatadukundam Raa) films. In recent years, she successfully entered Hindi cinema with Housefull 5 (2025) and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat (2025). Her 2026 lineup includes the much-awaited Border 2 and other exciting projects.
