Over the years, she established herself as a leading actress with films like Punjab 1984, Nikka Zaildar, Manje Bistre, Carry on Jatta 2, and Honsla Rakh. She also appeared in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films, with Housefull 5 (2025) marking her entry into Bollywood.

Sonam Bajwa has won the PTC Punjabi Film Award for Best Actress and received multiple Filmfare Punjabi nominations. Known as one of the highest-paid actresses in Punjabi cinema, she enjoys a huge fan base.
