Daughter of legendary actor Kamal Haasan, Shruti made her acting debut as a child artist in Hey Ram (2000). Her formal lead debut came with Luck (2009) in Hindi, followed by successful South Indian entries like Anaganaga O Dheerudu (Telugu) and 7 Aum Arivu (Tamil) in 2011, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. She broke through with hits like 3 (2012), Gabbar Singh (2012), Race Gurram (2014, for which she won Best Actress – Telugu), and later powerhouses including Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023) and Coolie (2025) opposite Rajinikanth.

A versatile talent, Shruti is also an accomplished singer and musician. As of mid-2026, she has Aakasamlo Oka Tara (with Dulquer Salmaan), Train, Salaar Part 2, and other projects in the pipeline, continuing her dynamic presence across industries.
