Born January 28, 1986, Shruti began as a child playback singer before making her acting debut in the Telugu film Luck (2009) opposite Ram. She gained prominence with hits like 7aum Arivu (2011, Tamil), Gabbar Is Back (2015, Hindi), Srimanthudu (2015, Telugu), and Vedalam (2015, Tamil). After a hiatus, her comeback included strong supporting roles in blockbusters Krack (2021), Veera Simha Reddy (2023), Waltair Veerayya (2023), Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023), and Coolie (2025) opposite Rajinikanth.

In 2026, Shruti is expanding globally with her Hollywood debut in the psychological thriller The Eye (released January 2026 in North America). She joins Dulquer Salmaan's pan-Indian feel-good drama Aakasamlo Oka Tara (Summer 2026 release in multiple languages), directed by Pavan Sadineni. Other projects include Train (Tamil, post-production), a pan-India action drama with Adivi Sesh, and potential returns to acting on her terms after focusing on music.
