She marked her South Indian entry with Telugu film Anaganaga O Dheerudu (2011) and Tamil film 7 Aum Arivu (2011), winning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. Her breakthrough came with the Tamil romantic drama 3 (2012).

She has delivered memorable performances in blockbusters like Gabbar Singh (2012), Race Gurram (2014) — for which she won the Filmfare Best Actress – Telugu award — Srimanthudu (2015), Premam (2016), Krack (2021), Waltair Veerayya (2023), and the massive hit Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023).
