Born on January 28, 1986, Shruti Haasan is a versatile actress, singer, and musician who has carved a prominent space in Indian cinema. She began as a child artist and made her lead acting debut with the Hindi film Luck (2009). Her South Indian breakthrough came in 2011 with Telugu film Anaganaga O Dheerudu and Tamil film 7 Aum Arivu, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South.
She rose to stardom with hits like Gabbar Singh (2012), Race Gurram (2014) — for which she won the Filmfare Best Actress – Telugu award — Srimanthudu (2015), Premam (2016), Krack (2021), Waltair Veerayya (2023), and the massive pan-India success Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023). Her recent Tamil blockbuster Coolie (2025) further cemented her position.
In 2026, Shruti is set to appear in the pan-India Telugu drama Aakasamlo Oka Tara opposite Dulquer Salmaan (summer release) and will reprise her role in Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam. She also has Train in post-production and is exploring international opportunities, including her Hollywood psychological thriller The Eye.
A talented playback singer and one of the highest-paid actresses in the South, Shruti continues to balance powerful roles with her multifaceted artistic pursuits.
