Born into a film family as the daughter of Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar, Shriya made her acting debut in the Marathi film Ekulti Ek (2013), directed by her father, earning the Maharashtra State Film Award for Best Debut. She entered Hindi cinema with Shah Rukh Khan's Fan (2016), playing a key role. She rose to prominence with the web series Mirzapur (2018–present) as Sweety Gupta, followed by acclaimed performances in Guilty Minds (2022), The Broken News (2022), Taaza Khabar (2023), and films like House Arrest (2019), Bhangra Paa Le (2020), Dry Day (2023), and Ishq-e-Nadaan (2023).

Currently, Shriya's ongoing projects include the highly anticipated Mirzapur - The Movie (theatrical release September 4, 2026, followed by Prime Video), marking her return to the iconic franchise. She also stars in Priyadarshan's Haiwaan (2026) alongside Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan—her first theatrical release in years—plus Mandala Murders (2025) and a YRF project. Her versatile choices continue to impress across cinema and OTT.
