Shama Sikander, born Shama Sikander Ali Gesawat in Makrana, Rajasthan, entered Bollywood young. She made her movie debut at 16 in Prem Aggan (1998), followed by a notable role in Mann (1999) opposite Aamir Khan as Kamini. She rose to fame on television as Pooja Mehta in the popular Sony TV series Yeh Meri Life Hai (2003–2005), earning widespread recognition.

Her filmography includes supporting roles in Ansh: The Deadly Part (2002), Dhoom Dadakka (2008), Contract (2008), Bypass Road (2019), and bold web ventures like the erotic drama Maaya: Slave of Her Desires (2017–2019), which she also produced.Now married and a vocal advocate for mental health, Shama has been selective with projects since around 2021, prioritizing meaningful roles. No major new films or series are confirmed for 2025–2026, though she remains open to impactful OTT or indie opportunities.
