Born on August 4, 1981, in Makrana, Rajasthan, Shama Sikander began her acting journey at a young age. She made her film debut in 1998 with Prem Aggan, directed by Feroz Khan. She appeared in notable films like Mann (1999) opposite Aamir Khan, Ansh: The Deadly Part (2002), Dhoom Dadakka (2008), Contract, and later in Bypass Road (2019).

Shama rose to massive fame on television with her iconic role as Pooja Mehta in the popular daily soap Yeh Meri Life Hai (2003–2005). She has also explored web series and short films, including Sexaholic (2016) and Maaya: Slave of Her Desires.
