Born on November 3, 1984, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Saumya Tandon is a versatile Indian actress, model, and television personality. She began her career with modelling and made her television debut in Aisa Des Hai Mera (2006). She gained widespread fame as the iconic Anita Mishra in the long-running Hindi sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! (2015–2025), where her comic timing and chemistry with the cast made her a household name. She has also hosted popular shows like Dance India Dance, Bournvita Quiz Contest, and Entertainment Ki Raat.

Her film journey started with her Bollywood debut in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007), playing Roop Dhillon. She later appeared in the Punjabi film Welcome to Punjab (2011) and the independent movie Radio Ghaint (2024).

In 2025, Saumya made a powerful return to the big screen with a critically appreciated role as Ulfat (Rehman’s wife) in Aditya Dhar’s action thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna. The performance, though brief, stood out for its emotional depth and intensity.

As of April 2026, she is gearing up for the sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge (releasing March 19, 2026). She has joined Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming romantic drama Yeh Prem Mol Liya alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari. She is also headlining the experimental AI-live action short film Vispala: India’s Forgotten Warrior Queen.
