Born on 8 June 1996 in Bengaluru, Sapthami Gowda transitioned from a software engineering background to acting. She made her debut in the 2020 Kannada crime thriller Popcorn Monkey Tiger as Girija, directed by Duniya Suri, earning the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Kannada.

Her breakthrough came with the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, where she played Leela opposite Rishab Shetty, winning critical acclaim and a Filmfare Critics Best Actress award. She debuted in Hindi with The Vaccine War (2023) as Dr. Sreelakshmy Mohandas, followed by Yuva (2024) as Siri.

Her Telugu debut was Thammudu (2025) as Ratna. Ongoing and upcoming projects include The Rise of Ashoka (2026) as Ambika, Halagali, Kaali, and Ugrayudham. From regional roots to pan-Indian presence, Sapthami continues to shine with versatile roles and elegant style.
