Sapthami Gowda made her acting debut in Duniya Suri's 2020 Kannada crime drama Popcorn Monkey Tiger, earning the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Kannada. However, her true breakthrough came with Rishab Shetty's 2022 blockbuster Kantara, where her portrayal of Leela brought her pan-Indian fame and widespread critical acclaim. Following this success, she made her Hindi film debut in Vivek Agnihotri's 2023 drama The Vaccine War.
